Sunshine Coast Real Estate - 2007-04-29 10:45:25

Real Estate sales are booming on the Sunshine Coast - again. Real estate agents are reporting strong sales accross all market sectors again with some offices reporting consecutive months of strong buyer activity. Viki Flint of Remax in Buderim said "we are seeing better results than in the so called boom." Amber Werchon & her team of Ray White has been selling properties in high numbers during the first quater of 2007. In general it seems people have become comfortable with the new status quo - higher interest rates and higher fuel prices. Strong net population growth in the area has also kept demand high, many families continue to relocate to area so from and investment point of view the Sunshine Coast is very "safe." "Higher rents are also pushing people back into the market" said Viki Flint. The local property outlook for 2007 is great for the area, there are always some wild cards in play like oil prices and the draught but it looks for now like interest rates are going to remain steady. When you look at the area and break it down it has some fantastic areas - Buderim with views, Caloundra by the sea and close to Brisbane. You have the class and exclusive nature of Noosa to the north. Within 30 minutes drive either way you have something to see and do. Then you have the option to take in the hinterland areas just to complete the picture.
